Are you ready for today’s NASCAR Cup Series that takes place today? This year’s Food City 500 race takes place at the Bristol Motor Speedway, and has quite the starting lineup! Bristol Motor Speedway is a smaller track, and races at this location are notoriously shorter than most others. Smaller tracks also usually lead to the inevitable, accidents and crashes and Food City 500 in Bristol is definitely a smaller track.

Bristol Motor Speedway was officially open for business in 1961. At it’s start, it was known as the Bristol International Raceway, the name not changing until! later on. The track did not even have concrete until 1992, when the asphalt was finally replaced by said concrete. Last year, (2024), Denny Hamlin won the Food City 500.
