It’s Sunday, and you know what that means! NASCAR fans everywhere are ready to tune in and watch the race today! Some are lucky enough to be there in person at the Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas! With today being Mother’s Day, how many of the drivers are putting their all in for today, just for their momma? How many fans took their mom to the race? What a treat that would be!

This NASCAR season has had many penalties and a lot of spice between drivers! One can only wonder what we will see today, keeping in mind recent rulings from the last few races. Today’s NASCAR Cup Series is the Advent 400, and will feature 16 Chevrolets, 12 Fords, and 10 Toyotas. Currently, Chase Elliot holds the track’s racing record. On December 21, 2018 his time was 02:39:02 and his speed was a strong 152.057! Will that record be broken today, or will Elliot remain the record winner for Kansas Speedway? Who Will Own the Track Today?

Kansas Speedway is a 1.5 mile long track, and shaped in a somewhat triangular oval shape. With 48,000 seats that fans will be sitting in to hear the roar of the engines, the pressure is on! How will the stages go, and who will end up in victory lane? Joey Logano won the last Cup Series, will he take the W today? Or will another driver remind the NASCAR world that they have what it takes to be in first as the checkered flag waves?

No matter who you are rooting for, today is sure to bring not just high speeds, but high energy as well! NASCAR will kick off here shortly at approximately 3pm EST. Will you be tuning in, or are you enjoying the race in person? Pit lane crews have it cut out for them today, with intense, high burst laps and the drive to earn more points for drivers as we continue through this year’s NASCAR season!
