Nintendo games notoriously do not drop in price. If you go to buy The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on the eShop right now, it’s still $60 like it was in 2017 when it launched. The publisher does this for many reasons, one of which is unavoidably capitalist, but it is the case. The games don’t drop in price unless there’s a sale, which there often is. Right now, there’s a particularly exciting one: the Blockbuster Sale. Here are the best deals you can score now.
Nintendo’s Blockbuster Sale has Several Great Games

If you head over to the eShop on your Nintendo Switch or Switch 2 right now, you’ll see quite a few really good deals on some high-profile games. Perhaps most notably is the award-winning It Takes Two, which is on sale for $20 instead of $40. You can pick up the most recent Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games for just $24.
Cult of the Lamb, the indie darling, is available at 50% discount. A couple of its expansion packs are also on sale, so you can get a lot right now. Sonic x Shadow Generations is discounted from $50 to $30. The Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is available for just $16. Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is available for just $13.19. Two other Crash bundles are on sale, too, so it’s a good time to pick up the platformer.
Speaking of platformers that the publisher doesn’t own outright, the Spyro Reignited Trilogy is available for $14, although it is available on Game Pass for Xbox and PC as well. If you want to pick that up as well as the N. Sane Trilogy for Crash Bandicoot, you can get them both in a bundle that’s currently down from $75 to $26.24. Disco Elysium – The Final Cut is just $12. You can also pick up Just Dance 2025 Deluxe Edition for $27 instead of $60.
That’s not all, though. Other incredible deals you can take full advantage of right now include:
- Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle Gold Edition is 75% off.
- MARIO + RABBIDS SPARKS OF HOPE is 83% off.
- The MySims Cozy Bundle is available for $20.
- Monster Hunter Stories Deluxe Collection is now $35.
- MLB The Show 25 is $25. The deluxe edition is $40 instead of $100.
- The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is 60% off.
- Sonic Mania is just $8 right now.
- The Plucky Squire is 60% off.
- Metal Slug Tactics is $17.49.
- Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition is down from $50 to $10.
- Hello Kitty Island Adventure is 25% off thanks to the sale.
- Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4, Standard and Deluxe, are discounted 25% and 30%, respectively.
You’ll have to act quickly if any of these deals excite you. The Blockbuster Sale is going to end two days from now, so the clock is officially ticking before those games will all go back to their original price tags for the Switch and Switch 2. They may go on sale again later, but now is as good a time as any for these excellent titles. This might not be as big as some other publisher sales, like Xbox or PlayStation, but is still significant.
Conclusion
This may not be a sale for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, Splatoon 3, Pikmin 4, Donkey Kong Bananza, or Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, but it does still have plenty of really good games. Some of them are older, but as mentioned, this still a rare price drop for many of them, especially on the Nintendo platform. It’s a great time to take advantage of a few good deals, but you can also rest easy knowing the holiday season, which often brings discounts, is nearly here.
