Palfarm has been announced by Pocketpair. If you haven’t been caught up on gaming news, Pocketpair is the creator of Palworld. An open-world creature collecting game where you can tame creatures and use them to fight, or as workers on your base. Of course, this is the same group that is currently under attack in the form of a lawsuit by Nintendo for making their game similar to their game, Pokémon, and why Nintendo is making so many patents… This article will be going over the new game Pocketpair announced; Palfarm!
Palfarm – Pocketpair’s New Game

Pocketpair announced yesterday that a new team will be creating the game. It will be produced by Pocketpair, but by a team that didn’t work on Palworld. Palfarm is a new cozy simulation game that takes place in the Palworld universe. The Steam page states:
“Move to an island where Pals live and have them help with farm work, cook alongside them, shop at stores they run, or gather materials to expand your farm.”
From this quote we can already tell it will be following the basics of farm simulation but with Pocketpair’s twist of adding their Pals. Pocketpair’s Pals will definitely add a helping hand to the farm world. They will have Pal’s that will water, garden, and harvest. Each possibly having their own job levels like in Palworld.
They announced on their Steam page that Island Life will play a part in the cozy game as well, interacting with Pals, Residences, and growing bonds. Daily conversations and daily work, or gifts, will increase the bond with Pals and others. Seasons will change as well, possibly altering the ways some Pals react to the cold and hot weather. Of course, crops will have their challenges as well but with the focus being on the Pals, it will be interesting how they will interact with everything else.

Through the images on Steam, we can see the Player in a wedding with Zoey, which is no surprise. They have showed one new pal in a scene with Anubis, who is Sekhmet. Sekhmet is a gold skin Egyptian cat-like Pal. But so far nothing new on any more pals, although we see several from the most recent update(s) to Pal world, like Tarantris, Splatterina, and Bastigor, as well as others. The Pals will also be talking in human language, at least in the sense of subtitles.
Combat will be making a return with Raids on the farm from Pals and possibly other factions. So having the right Pals for fights or even the right defenses will be crucial to protect your crops. There will be a marketplace that has its own black-market on the island. From here you will get seeds, fertilizer, and special goods. The last thing they mentioned on their Steam page is that Multiplayer will be available to make farms, some with mounts.
Conclusion
Pocketpair issued a statement saying that this game has been in development for a year now. With Pocketpair already having their game in development it’s easy to say that they were waiting for the right time. BUT it looks great, and I can’t wait for the game to come out whether in Early Access or not. The spin-off will be exciting to get our hands on.
Pocketpair has announced that Palworld will be reaching 1.0 in 2026, officially leaving behind Early Access, but not before they release another collaboration with Ultrakill. From there they will be taking breaks from major updates as they prepare to make a full release for their game.
