Jane Goodall, beloved to many around the world and valued for her tireless dedication to learning and educating the world, passed away today. Some knew her as a Primatologist and some knew her as a Conservationist, but either way, nearly the whole world knew her and her dedication to her work. She was on tour, one that was to be cross-country, when she passed away.
Goodall passed away in Los Angeles, CA, at the age of 91. She passed away from natural causes, and that is all the information on her passing that has been announced at this time from The Jane Goodall Institute. Her passion extended to many areas of nature, conservation, and learning about animals, such as her especially well-known 65-year study of wild chimpanzees in Tanzania.
Remembering and Continuing Goodall’s Life Work
In 2017, the Jane Goodall Legacy Foundation was established by none other than Goodall herself. This foundation was established to ensure the ongoing stability of the core programs as well as her overall life’s work. You can even donate to continue to support all of her work, hope, and education that she brought to the world here.
Goodall was so much more than just a Primatologist or Conservationist; she was an author, a teacher, a leader of hope and inspiration to so many across the world. Existing generations already knew her, but it is the hope of not just myself, but many others across the globe, that future generations will know her and all of her passion and dedication as well.
Another Gem of Humanity Lost
This year, 2025, the world has lost many gems of humanity. Leaders in compassion, knowledge, ethics, hope, exploration, and more have passed away this year. Now, Jane Goodall has also left the world, but her continuous work and inspiration will remain with us. She was a woman of many things, and even kindness seems an understatement when remembering her.
