Murder Suicide Victims

On November 19, 2025, an unruly man successfully carried out a murder-suicide on his unsuspecting family in their home in Tiffin, Ohio. The man showed up at the home where his wife was attempting to move out, proceeded to shoot her two young children and another man who was helping, before turning the gun on himself and committing suicide. The mother of two is the only survivor of this tragedy.

Murder-Suicide Crime Scene

The Tiffin Police Department released a new statement containing the details of the shooting resulting in a murder-suicide. According to them, they responded to the 100 block of Huss Street around 6:30 p.m. after receiving calls about a shooting in the area. The woman at the residence was in the process of moving out due to ongoing domestic issues involving her 42-year-old husband, Ryan Eagon, who was the father of her baby.

The man helping her move was 29-year-old Dustin Willey, who is the father of her 7-year-old son. Supposedly, the woman thought Eagon was working out of town, making this a perfect time for her to move. Willey and her were inside the home when they heard their 7-year-old crying outside. They went to check on him and saw Eagon in the driveway. Witnesses to the murder-suicide state they saw Eagon push past his wife and chase Willey around, firing multiple shots at him.

Eagon ended up fatally shooting both children, the 7-year-old and 7-month-old, in front of their mother’s eyes. Afterward, he fired at Willey again, and then Eagon committed suicide at the scene with a single gunshot wound to the head. The mother took both her children back inside the home, and police declared the baby dead at the scene. Willey and his son, Wrenn, died shortly after they were transported to Tiffin Mercy Hospital.

An Ongoing Investigation

The Tiffin Police Department, along with the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Seneca County Coroner’s Office, is investigating the murder-suicide. “The Tiffin Police Department recognizes the profound emotional impact this tragedy has had on the families involved, first responders, medical staff, schools, and the broader community,” Chief David Pauly stated. “Resources for grief support and counseling are being coordinated for anyone affected.”

The Victims

Friends of Dustin Willey told 13 Action News that he poured his heart and soul into being a dad. He was never one to hesitate when anyone needed help, and that is what he was doing the night he and his son were murdered. Willey’s former boss, Kelly Gallagher, recalled him working for her on and off since he was a teenager, and that she just saw him Sunday picking up pizzas for his son’s birthday party.

He loved Wrenn. He was a good father. He would do anything for that boy. He just showed what it’s like to be a single dad and that he was going to be a part of his life. He did a lot with him,” Gallagher said.“We’re all just trying to process it, especially that it happened to children — even worse,” she added.

She also said Wrenn enjoyed being a big brother to his baby brother. “It’s tragic because, especially when you find out, it happened to somebody who’s got the biggest heart. Is the kindest person. Would do anything for anybody. It’s kind of like losing a family member,” Gallagher said.

The family affected by this incident will forever be changed, especially the mother, who had everything taken from her in a matter of seconds. “As a community, we are not accustomed to events of this horrific and heartbreaking nature in Tiffin. I ask that all residents keep the victims’ families in their thoughts as they face unimaginable loss. I also ask that our community keep the responding officers, firefighters, dispatchers, emergency medical personnel, and all others involved in their thoughts as they continue to process the emotional toll of this tragedy,” Chief Pauly said.
