grinch, title, Christmas, The Grinch

Before the ’18 rendition and way before Jim Carrey, How the Grinch Stole Christmas made the holidays merry. The original film debuted in 1966; it was for the whole family, for all dudes and chicks. The perfect representation of the Dr. Seuss book, it took us to Whoville for an inside look. We fell in love with Cindy Lou and all of the songs, the best part yet, it’s only twenty-six minutes long. It’s a holiday tradition that has lasted fifty-nine years; next year will be sixty, but we won’t wait to cheer.

You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch

The Grinch lived north of Whoville because he hated the people, thinking of a plot that seemed illegal. He came up with a plan with no hesitation or pause, to dress up like St. Nick and play Santa Claus. He sewed a Santa suit at an incredible pace. Who would ever recognize his hairy green face?

Being a bad boy similar to Bill Laimbeer, he even dressed his innocent dog, Max, as a reindeer. His plan was intact, and he was a real creep. He would wait to slide down when the Whos were asleep. Sledding down the mountain at tremendous speed, Max was too afraid to take the lead.

The Grinch got to town and went down the first chimney. He only got stuck once, surprisingly, because he wasn’t that skinny. He got in the house and back on track as he threw everything he could in his big gray sack. He moved swiftly with no sweat or panic; he stole all the Whos’ stockings with the help of a magnet.

You nauseate me, Mr. Grinch.” In my mouth, the taste of vomit, as we watch you shoot bulbs in the corner pocket. He stole all the ornaments, leaving nothing to see; he even took the star and the whole damn tree. “You’re a monster, Mr. Grinch!” Could we blame it on drugs? Then you rolled up the Who-toys and Who-horns all up in a rug!

He was being sleazy, sneaky, and shady, taking all the candy canes from all the sleeping babies. Taking the toys, we could forgive, water under the bridge, but then the Grinch got greedier, entering the fridge. He took the champagne, he took the grapes, he took all the meats, he also took all the canned food, and he snatched the roast beast. Luckily, there was no cash; he would have taken the stash, but that bastard even took the last can of Who Hash!

The last thing before getting out scot-free, he needed to snatch up the Christmas tree. A bulb fell off without him having a clue, and it rolled right into the bedroom, waking up Cindy Lou Who. Cindy Lou Who dressed all the way pink, he sent her back to bed with an explanation and a drink.

The Grinch had all the toys, the food, the trees, and the lights, all before the crack of sunlight. He stood on the mountain, presents and all, when he started to hear a familiar call. He put his hand up to his ear like a Hulkster pose, listening to the song that everyone knows.

The Grinch started feeling guilty, which wasn’t a shocker, and his heart grew three times its size, with no health insurance or a doctor. He and Max raced down the sled, avoiding turns and twists. It was time to return to Whoville with all the Who gifts. The Grinch joined the Whos for the Christmas Day feast; he even sat at the head of the table, slicing the roast beast.

Final Thoughts

Whether you’re a little Who girl or a little Who boy, I hope you were entertained and hope you enjoyed. I tried my best to write this article as if I were Dr. Seuss, without all the funny words, since I’m just Bobby Kaboose. The short animated film is an all-time classic, so it’s not a surprise how long it has lasted. So before I go, I’ll spread some holiday cheer, Merry Christmas, everyone, and Happy New Year!
