Total Nonstop Action, better known as TNA, has been revived and is on the comeback. The flagship show iMPACT! will make its debut, premiering on the AMC network next Thursday, January 15th. With the recent relationship with WWE, the “face that ran the place,” the Phenomenal AJ Styles, will be returning home!

Styles Returns Home

In the early 2000s, TNA was the second-largest promotion in the United States, only behind the standard of professional wrestling, the WWE. After the deaths of WCW and ECW, fans looked elsewhere for an alternative wrestling program, and there was the funky six-sided ring.

Inside that ring, no one stood out more than AJ Styles. The “Phenomenal One” was the staple of TNA wrestling. Many consider him the greatest “homegrown” talent to emerge from the promotion. He was the first-ever TNA Grand Slam Champion, two-time TNA Heavyweight Champion, six-time X Division Champion, and TNA Hall of Famer.

AJ built a name in Total Nonstop Action and Japan before joining WWE, making his signing with the World’s largest wrestling company massive. He may be the greatest free agent WWE has ever signed that wasn’t originally brought through the ranks. His debut at the Royal Rumble remains one of the greatest of all time.

Final Thoughts

This is a brilliant move by TNA and WWE. With the partnership, WWE should be invested in iMPACT! ‘s success. Wrestling fans have already some crossover, bringing dream matches to life, surprises, and of course, Joe Hendry (I wonder if he will appear)! The debut of their flagship show on the AMC network, it is only fitting that they have their greatest superstar of all time, “the face that runs the place,” the Phenomenal AJ Styles as a guest on their show! This move immediately puts their program in the spotlight!
