The man had a huge impact on the world and was known not only for his signature “Valentino Red” dresses but also for his political noticings. What many would consider the elite of celebrities were his clients, including the former first lady, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. She had worn several of the fashion designers’ looks before, and even one to John F. Kennedy’s funeral. The former first lady even wore a two-piece wedding dress designed by Garavani.

Goodbye From Rome

The fashion emperor will have what is known as a “lying in state”, which is a public funerary tradition. In this tradition, the casket of a highly respected or high-ranking individual is placed in a prominent public building or area. This allows the public to pay their respects and often leaves behind a legacy or tribute to the recently deceased. The iconic fashion designer made history, and will leave in a historical fashion on Wednesday, January 22nd. The address for this respected event in Rome is open to the public and posted above.

The following day, January 23, Garavani’s funeral will take place in Rome as well. The world took off after the brilliant red hue of his very own Valentino Red, and now he too has taken off. Goodbye from Rome – Requiescat in pace.
