Takeout, food, drive thru

Are you a carryout warrior? Do you never cook your own food at home? Or maybe you’re an adult living with an elderly parent who thinks you’ll burn down the house when using the air fryer? Hell, maybe it’s just convenient.

Whatever the case may be, there are some items from very popular places that I suggest you try if you haven’t already! As a carryout king myself, I feel like I have eaten everything (except I’m very picky) and everywhere. Here is a list of possible hidden gems you may want to try the next time you place an online order.

5 Food Menu Item Hidden Gems

Volcano Tacos – Taco Bell

Have you ever had crack on a taco? Well, it’s not exactly crack, but it could be! The “Lava” or “Volcano” sauce may be the most addicting tasting condiment I have ever tasted. The mix of spice and deliciousness should take over the old Frank’s Red Hot slogan, “I put that s*** on everything!” Because I totally would!

I have no idea what the ingredients are in this creamy sauce, but I feel like it should be on more of the foods I eat. Unfortunately for us, Taco Bell only limits this amazing sauce. So when this isn’t available, go with the Cheesy Gordita Crunch.

Hershey Pie – Burger King

If you watch football while under any kind of influence, whether it’s drinking, smoking, or edibles, and those Burger King jingles come on, don’t tell me you don’t want any damn Burger King! So when you go to get a paper crown, order your Whopper with cheese or original chicken sandwich (if you’re my girlfriend), tack on a Hershey pie.

These sweet treats are chocolate, refrigerated, and will hit the munchie spot! Who doesn’t love dessert after a long day while cuddling your boo? Burger King may not be the first food choice when you think of a tasty post-dinner snack, but give it a try!

Tasmanian Chili – Outback

Did I mention I am a picky eater? Before you think I am absolutely crazy, I love steak, grilled chicken, burgers, and most things Outback offers. For me, it’s hard for me to find a chili without beans. I love me some chili, but I just can’t stand the taste or texture of beans.

So, with finding out Outback’s Tasmanian Chili didn’t have beans, I had to try it! It didn’t disappoint. There are plenty of side options when you get that 8-oz filet. Next time, add the premium side and thank me later! Food perfect for a cold night inside.

Chicken Gnocchi Soup – Olive Garden

The land of endless breadsticks, soup, and salad! The best Italian chain for blue-collar guys who want pasta without breaking the bank. I’m guessing a lot of you guys took your first date to Olive Garden! No shame in your game, my man.

Well, with almost everything you order coming with either a soup or salad, if you haven’t already, try the Chicken Gnocchi Soup. For a creamier soup, which I tend not to like, this one is fantastic. You already failed your gym resolution, so pass on the salad and get some Gnocchi!

Strawberry Frosty – Wendy’s

I know, I know, another food item that falls in the dessert category! I’m sorry these are too good not to put on the list. There are also two ways to do it! The soft-serve ice cream that just hits the spot. The full strawberry Frosty is the strawberry version of our favorite chocolate treat!

Since that strawberry Frosty style is limited, there is another way to make it. You can also order a vanilla Frosty and add the drizzled strawberry syrup. At first, I was skeptical, thinking it wouldn’t live up to the other. In my mind, it doesn’t, but it is a great substitute until the other comes back.

Final Food For Thought

I Hope you enjoyed this list. If you haven’t tried any of these items, next time you’re feeling hungry or hangry, try adding one to your meal. They will enhance your experience when you’re indulging in your favorite foods.
