Royal Rumble

Everyone’s favorite Premium Live Event for the WWE is this week! The road to WrestleMania starts at the Royal Rumble. Thirty superstars are coming into the ring in two-minute intervals, eliminating each other over-the-top rope until only one remains. We all know the rules and the stakes of the match. The chance to main event WrestleMania is on the line.

So, besides the luck of the draw to get number 30, are there any strategies that could help you win this match? By the way, I know it helps to have creativity on your side and that the show is scripted. With that being said, here are five ways to help yourself win the Rumble.

5 Rumble Techniques

Study Kofi and John Morrison

Kofi Kingston and John Morrison are two of the most exciting guys to ever enter the match. Yeah, you need to be super athletic for what they do, but they are the masters of getting back into the ring to save their Rumble lives. So study their tapes.

These two, along with a childhood game, could save your WrestleMania hopes and dreams. If you get thrown over-the-top rope and land on a ringside object, then play the “Floor is Lava.” Ever since Shawn Michaels in 1995, we have known that both feet must hit the floor. So just use whatever you can to get yourself back to the ring without touching the “lava!”

Road Dogg’s Tuck and Turtle

“Ohhhhh, you didn’t know, your a** ain’t winning the Rumble!” It’s ok, Road Dogg, we didn’t expect Jesse James to go on to the main event at WrestleMania. His strategy, on the other hand, could be used to get yourself further in the match.

How can someone get eliminated if they are hugging the bottom rope tighter than they cuddle their lover? To avoid getting thrown over or if you just need a little rest in the squared circle, then just copy the D-O-double G.

Brock’s One By One

Hey, what’s easier than eliminating thirty guys all at once? Tossing them out one-by-one. Brock Lesnar may have gotten the strategy from Diesel in the ’90s, but he almost perfected it. In 2020, months before COVID, “The Beast Incarnate” ran viciously through the locker room, eliminating thirteen straight superstars.

It’s that easy! Someone comes in, get their a** out! Just be dominant, I don’t understand why others aren’t just freaks of nature like Brock Lesnar is! Don’t let the ring fill up with too many people; get them out ASAP!

3 Times for Mick Foley

Want to increase your odds of winning? If you’re only one of 30, why don’t you enter twice more? It doesn’t take “Steiner Math” to figure out that it increases your chances by three times. If Mankind, Dude Love, and Cactus Jack can do it, why can’t you?

This will take some of the pressure off until you get to that final ball. Imagine you have number 30, get eliminated by the only other competitor, and get to re-enter using your final ball. That will increase your chance to win the Rumble by a substantial margin.

Pull a Vince McMahon

It doesn’t hurt that he ran the company or was the ultimate head of creative. Vince McMahon’s gameplan was the greatest way to ever win a Royal Rumble. You can’t get thrown out of the ring if you’re not in the ring! Run away! Michael Myers isn’t coming after you; you have plenty of time!

Once you enter the match, just slip under the rope and run away until one person is left. Then you take your opportunity to eliminate the runner-up. You can thank me later, after you win your title in the main event of WrestleMania!
