Last week’s episode of ‘Traitors’ featuring host Alan Cumming has left fans fighting on the internet. In Season 4, episode 7, “The Black Banquet,” opens with players attending a dinner party. All of them are on edge as the game nears its end, and no one can be trusted. Each of them insisted they would not accept anything from anyone in case a Traitor was murdering in plain sight – and they would be right, but not in the way they think.

Recap of Last Week‘s Traitors Episode

At the end of episode 6, the Traitors – “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” Lisa Rinna, former “The Real Housewives of Potomac” Candiace Dillard Bassett, and “Love Island USA” Season 6’s Rob Rausch were handed an amulet that one of them must wear and get the player they wish to murder to touch it.

Lisa “f–ing” Rinna, being the most iconic and fashionably dressed woman alive, volunteered without hesitation, even though she had too much heat on her after the last Round Table. Her preferred target for the murder in plain sight would have been “The Bachelor’s” Colton Underwood, but he was gunning for her too hard, and it would have pointed directly to her. In the end, a decision must be made, whether intentional or not. 

Murder in Plain Sight

Rinna made a brilliant move after greeting her fellow players, and “Survivor” winner Yamil “Yam Yam” Arocho fell victim. She complained that the accessory was stabbing her skin and asked for his assistance, which he so graciously extended. It was not obvious, and it was carried out naturally. Unfortunately, her European-style greeting to the Survivor winner would be her unexpected demise. 

After the group sits down to eat and goes around the table to express their gratitude for this experience, Host Alan Cummings storms in with masked and hooded figures. He tells the story of “the legend of the black dinner.” He announces to the players that this is no ordinary dinner. “Well, I’m afraid my dear players that tonight is a little case of history repeating,” he says. “The Traitors have cursed one of you to death.”

Cummings surprises everyone, even the Traitors, by bringing out two vials of an antidote. The cursed player has a chance to save themselves, but they do not know which of them has been murdered. The scene quickly becomes chaotic with players jumping to conclusions.

Arocho is the first to say Rinna kissed him on the cheek, but he did not bring it up again since the rest of the group talked over everyone. Ultimately, two uncursed players take the antidotes. The one who is truly cursed is violently dragged away by the masked guards. 

As Arocho is dragged out of the banquet room, he is shouting that it was Rinna, claiming her kiss cursed him to death. He instantly knew it was her, but for the wrong reason. It is unfortunate because her murder was a masterpiece, and she receives no credit for how well she carried it out.

Traitor Lisa ‘F–ing’ Rinna Banished

The following day, after another challenge that Traitor Rausch successfully gains a leg up, all the players meet at the Round Table to banish someone. Rinna has been under suspicion for a few days, and after Aroncho’s surprising departure, she is in the hot seat once more. Underwood takes the lead in the charge against her, and Rausch backs him, leading the final discussion of the night. 

The majority of the group writes Rinna’s name, including her fellow Traitor Rausch. This angered the third Traitor, Dillard Bassett, who decided to throw suspicion at him, explaining it was a throw-away vote, but no one had any reason to vote for him. Once Rinna was banished, she stood tearfully on the Circle of Truth.

“First of all, I have absolutely loved being here with all of you. I never thought I could do this. I never thought I could last this long. What I’m going to tell you tonight is, I am the most iconic, legendary Traitor!” Rinna said.

In her final confessional, Rinna said, “Rob, damn you. Damn you,” adding, “You know, the end of ‘Housewives’ was very difficult for me. It was just so nice to be able to be me. I’m just so grateful for the entire experience. I really am. Thank you.”

Disbanding The Traitors

Rausch now has bigger problems than being associated with Rinna since Dillard Bassett threw his name out at the Round Table. “Ladies and gentlemen, we have a snake on our hands,” Dillard Bassett says in her confessional at the end of the episode. “This was buffoonery of the most epic proportions. He is willing to betray the people that helped him. He made certain, vicious choices that will have dire consequences for him.”

The treachery will continue on Thursday, February 5, with Episode 8. Viewers should expect a very aggressive feud between the remaining Traitors and confusion amongst the faithfuls. “Rob made a decision to disband the Traitors. The Christian woman in me is just clutching her pearls. I’m aghast. But the bad b—- that is Candiace is ready to play a m———– game. I have to take the snake down and cut him off at the head,” Dillard Bassett warned at the end of Episode 7.
