Tonight’s game between the Orlando Magic and the Utah Jazz is another example where leads in the NBA don’t matter. After the Magic fell into a 17-point hole late in the 3rd quarter, they flipped the switch. However, let’s dive headfirst into the monumental comeback by the Magic.
Orlando Works Their Magic to Come Back vs. Jazz

After falling behind 94-77 with 1:42 left in the 3rd quarter, the Magic would go on a 15-2 run to cut the deficit to four with just under 10 minutes to go. Jalen Suggs and Desmond Bane would show up with 15 of the team’s 33 points in the final frame of the game. Despite late-game heroics, Isaiah Collier would take the game-tying three with 1.1 seconds to go, but it would come up wide left.
Reaction
Paolo Banchero had a great night. He didn’t shoot the ball well, but still finished with 23 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists. Maybe it’s blind skepticism, but I really love the Orlando Magic’s roster. Once they get Franz Wagner back, I can see them making a nice run in the Eastern Conference. I believe they have the talent to compete with some of the best teams in the conference; their only issue is their limited availability.
Final Thoughts
I was impressed by the perseverance of this young team. When your superstars are all 27 or younger, they need to grow together. As previously mentioned, maybe it’s blind hope, but I think they have the team built for the playoffs. If they can put it together, watch out. What do you think of the win? Do you think Orlando can make a deep run in the East come playoff time?
As always, thank you so much for checking out my thoughts on the Orlando Magic storming back in the 4th quarter to pick up a nice win against the Utah Jazz.
