Savannah Guthrie Pleads

The search for Nancy Guthrie is ongoing, and in another desperate attempt to bring the 84-year-old mother of ‘Today’ show co-host Savannah Guthrie home, the family is offering a $1 million reward for information leading to her “recovery.”

$1 Million Reward

On Tuesday, Savannah Guthrie posted another plea video to Instagram, but this time offering a substantial amount of money for the return of her mother. “It is day 24 since our mom was taken in the dark of night from her bed,” she said. “And every hour and minute and second and every long night has been agony since then of worrying for her, fearing for her, aching for her, and most of all just missing her, just missing her.”

She said her family is hopeful that their mother will be returned to them alive, but are aware of the possibility she may already be dead. In that case, they just hope to be able to mourn and grieve as soon as possible. “We still believe in a miracle. We still believe that she can come home,” Savannah Guthrie said. “We also know that she may be lost. She may already be gone.”

If this is what is to be, then we will all accept it,” she added. “But we need to know where she is. For that reason, we are offering a familial reward of up to $1 million for any information that leads us to her recovery.

Nancy Guthrie Goes Missing

On January 31, 2026, Nancy Guthrie was last seen at her home in Tucson, Arizona, around 9:45 p.m. Her family dropped her off after an evening together, and she was reported missing around noon the following day by a fellow church service member when she failed to show up. Authorities are exhausting all resources and efforts to find where she may have gone.

Authorities are currently waiting on results from an analysis of partial DNA that was recovered from Guthrie’s home earlier this week. They have not made any arrests in the kidnapping, nor identified any suspects, although they have a suspect on video footage breaking into Guthrie’s home in the middle of the night when she went missing. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department made a statement Saturday that “this will remain an active investigation until Nancy Guthrie is found or all leads are exhausted.”

Officials report that tens of thousands of tips have been submitted since opening an investigation into Guthrie’s disappearance, and at least 1,500 more since Savannah’s Instagram video yesterday. If anyone has information leading to the recovery of Nancy Guthrie, they are urged to reach out to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department tip line at 520-351-4900 or the FBI tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI.

Pulling Back Personnel

We are 24 days into the search for Nancy Guthrie, and hundreds of officials and volunteers are searching for her. The FBI has decided to reduce its number of personnel in Tucson. They are being relocated to the command post in Phoenix, where the largest office in Arizona sits.

However, the FBI is maintaining several agents in Tucson and continuing its partnership with the Pima County Sheriff’s Department. Rest assured, they say the reduction in personnel and shift in location is not an indication that the case is over, nor that the investigators are discontinuing their search.

On Wednesday, FBI agents were seen returning to Guthrie’s property to continue searching, but according to local sources, there is no additional investigative work to be done at the house. At this point in the case, it is all analytical.

Investigators are looking into the backpack the suspect was wearing in the video footage, which is exclusively sold at Walmart, analyzing samples of DNA found inside Guthrie’s home, and sifting through the thousands of tips they have received since Savannah Guthrie offered a $1 million reward for her mother’s return.

Additionally, the FBI is still offering its reward of $100,000 for tips that lead to the recovery of Nancy Guthrie or the conviction of her suspected kidnapper.
