With the NFL Draft being underway in Pittsburgh, the future of organizations could be shaped after tonight. We’ve seen players taken in unexpected spots and players fall, and we’ve only had 10 players drafted. Let’s go through the top ten picks thus far.
NFL’s Number 1 Pick: Las Vegas Raiders Select QB Fernando Mendoza
The Las Vegas Raiders drafted Fernando Mendoza with the top pick in the draft. This was essentially a lock for the past three months. Pairing him with their new head coach, Klint Kubiak, was a no-doubter. These two should lead Vegas into the next chapter of their franchise.
New York Jets: David Bailey EDGE
The Jets are selecting a sure thing in David Bailey. A great choice for a team that was desperate for help in generating a pass rush. Bailey is the best pure pass rusher in the entire draft and should be an immediate impact player.
Arizona Cardinals: Jeremiah Love RB
In what is a shock to me, it’s not Arvell Reese’s name called, it’s Jeremiah Love with the 3rd pick! The Cardinals are adding one of the best overall players in the draft. He should bring an explosive presence in the backfield that Arizona has lacked since David Johnson.
- 4 – Tennessee Titans: Carnell Tate WR – Best Receiver In the Class
- 5 – New York Giants: Avell Reese LB – STEAL OF THE DRAFT
- 6 – Kansas City Chiefs (Via Cleveland Browns): Mansoor Delane CB – Best cornerback in the draft. Massive pickup in their hopes to climb the NFL mountain top.
- 7 – Washington Commanders: Sonny Styles LB – Swiss Army Knife of the draft. Styles’ learning under future Hall of Famer Bobby Wagner will be something
- 8 – New Orleans Saints: Jordyn Tyson, WR – Excellent player, has had injury concerns in college, but when he plays, Tyson is a walking big-play machine.
- 9 – Cleveland Browns: Spencer Fano OT – Drafting one of the more versatile linemen in the NFL Draft. Can play almost every position on the O Line.
- 10 – New York Giants: Francis Mauigoa OT – Best offensive tackle in the draft. You draft your franchise quarterback, and now you have the tackles of the future locked up with Andrew Thomas and Mauigoa.
Stay Tuned for picks 11-20…
