Marcellus Wiley

Former NFL player Marcellus Wiley, husband to Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Annmarie Wiley, was charged with domestic battery following an incident Saturday, July 4, 2026.

Criminal History of NFL Player

Arrest records from Orange County, Florida, show that the 51-year-old Buffalo Bills alum-turned-sportscaster was arrested and being held without bond as of Sunday. While the details leading to his arrest have not been released, this does not come as a surprise to many given he has been accused of sexual assault by multiple women.

In reports obtained in May this year, the sportscaster was accused by a former ESPN employee of sexual assault, along with three others. These accusations, made in April, add to the three existing ones made in 2023, bringing the total to seven.

Rape and Assault Allegations

The former ESPN employee alleged that Wiley assaulted her in 2009 after inviting her to his hotel room under false pretenses. “The assault was devastating to me,” the victim wrote in a court filing.

Two others accused him of rape between 1995 and 1999 when he was playing for the Columbia University Lions’ football team, and beginning his NFL career with the Buffalo Bills as a defensive end.

The fourth victim alleged that Wiley groomed her when she was only 13, attempting to form a relationship with her, and waiting until she turned 18 to rape her. “Marcellus Wiley raped me on my 18th birthday, after grooming me from the age of 13,” the victim wrote.

She alleged that the sportscaster brought her to his home to clean his CD collection and often referred to her as “little momma.” “If Columbia had properly pursued the complaints… I would never have been groomed and raped,” she added.

Deny, Deny, Deny

Unsurprisingly, the former NFL player denied these allegations in a YouTube video which was posted on May 5, 2026. “I’m going to continue to challenge all these false accusations,” Wiley said, adding that the Columbia allegations were B.S.

He added that he has already been “exposed to inconsistencies” in the victim’s stories and allegations. “For every one of them, I either saw, communicated through email, text, phone, was invited by these individuals after these dates to engage, to be intimate, or all the above, after the dates that are in question,” Wiley claimed.

One of the women filed a lawsuit in 2023 with the New York State Supreme Court alleging Wiley sexually assaulted and raped her at the time they both attended Columbia University in the fall of 1994, which he also denies.

Marcellus Wiley’s Career

The Buffalo Bills selected Wiley in the second round of the 1997 NFL Draft, where he spent four seasons as a defensive end before signing with the San Diego Chargers in 2001. His standout season began with the Chargers, where he had a career-high of 13 sacks and earned second-team All-Pro honors.

Wiley then went on to play one season with the Dallas Cowboys in 2004 and from 2005 to 2006 with the Jacksonville Jaguars before concluding his 10-year NFL career.

He retired in 2006 and became a sportscaster for ESPN’s SportsNation and Fox Sports 1’s Speak For Yourself, as well as podcasts such as ‘More To It’. In 2018, he published his memoir, ‘Never Shut Up: The Life, Opinions, and Unexpected Adventures of an NFL Outlier.’
