Solstice 2025 started this week in Destiny 2. Solstice is a yearly event, Bungie’s way of celebrating the summer. This year’s Destiny 2 Solstice Event is being held with the new Portal system in Season 27 with new weapons and armor to grind for. Here I’ll be listing the new Solstice weapons, and their god rolls.
How to Get Weapons and Armor in Solstice 2025
In Solstice 2025, the way to get Solstice weapons and armor has changed, slightly. There is no Bonfire bash this year, thank God. But there is the new Portal system. This Portal system will have you grind Solo, Fireteam, Pinnacle, or Crucible Ops for the Solstice engrams, more specifically Distorted Solstice Engrams.
These engrams can drop up to Tier 5, but they are rare to get. Some sources say that you must be at least Power Level 400 and Guardian Rank (GR) 9 to get a good chance to get a Tier 5. I have done only a bit, and I am nowhere near those requirements so I can’t confirm but I have gotten Tier 4’s at 260 Power Level and GR 5 as you will see below. Regardless, you will be grinding Portal Ops in order to get these weapons or armor to drop.
Yeartide Apex

We will start off with one of my favorites this year in the Destiny 2 Solstice 2025 Event. Yeartide Apex is a Solar Tex Mechanica SMG. It is a Lightweight Frame. Meaning it will have the best of handling, and you can move faster with the weapon in your hands. This weapon can come with a selection of perks, and we will only be focusing on the perks in Column 3 and 4.
Most perks are self-explanatory. But others are new as it comes with a Raid Perk from Salvation’s Edge being, Chaos Reshaped. It is the only perk so far that can both buff your damage and heal you once at maxed stacks. Burning Ambition is a new perk as well where dealing damage stacks scorch on the target.
Perks in Column 3: Transcendent Moment, Recycled Energy, Heal Clip, Feeding Frenzy, Lone Wolf, Attrition Orbs, Demolitionist.
Perks in Column 4: Burning Ambition, Binary Orbit, Incandescent, Harmony. Chaos Reshaped, and Target Lock.
PvE Roll(s):
- Column 4: Heal Clip, Feeding Frenzy, or Demolitionist.
- Column 5: Incandescent, Chaos Reshaped, and Burning Ambition.
PvP Roll:
- Column 4: Lone Wolf
- Column 5: Target Lock
Festival Flight

Next up is Festival Flight. It is a Strand Area Denial (AD) Frame from Suros. This is a weapon where you will be spreading it on the ground to allow it to get maximum damage to crowd control. As a strand weapon it will get Slice and Threadling. It does get Attrition Orbs, which is nice but got nerfed in the last season for AD Frames. Not a total lost as it can still help. However, Frenzy, Vorpal Weapon, and One for All is very best if you need damage.
It does come with a Blast Distributor which will enhance the Grenade Stat with blast damage, which is perfect for AD Frames. It comes with 10 to the Grenade State for a max of 5 stacks for 5 seconds.
Column 4: Blast Distributor, Demolitionist, Recycled Energy. Transcendent Moment, Envious Arsenal, Ambitious Assassin, and Slice.
Column 5: Binary Orbit, Frenzy, One for All, Vorpal Weapon, Attrition Orbs, Threadling, and Elemental Honing
PvE God Roll(s):
- Column 4: Blast Distributor, Demolitionist, Envious Arsenal, Ambitious Assassin, and Slice.
- Column 5: Frenzy, One For All, Vorpal Weapon, Attrition Orbs.
Fortunate Star

Fortunate Star is next up, being a Void Veist Combat Bow. Bows have always been the underdog of Destiny 2, not really seeing the sun as much as their exotic cousins. But Bungie tries to give them the limelight as much as they can and so do some Guardians.
This bow comes with a lot of perks, Repulsor Brace, Archer’s Tempo, Successful Warm-up in Column 4. Explosive Head, Precision Instrument, Destabilizing Rounds, Demoralize, and Sword Logic in Column 5. All of which to name them and say that there are multiple good combinations but not a lot to make up for the bow themselves.
In my opinion, it might have been better if it were a heavy crossbow like in the new raid, The Desert Perpetual. But if you don’t run the raid, unfortunately, you will have to wait for another heavy bow to make its appearance.
Column 4: Impromptu Ammunition, Dragonfly, Repulsor Brace, Transcendent Moment, Killing Wind, Archer’s Tempo, and Successful Warm-Up.
Column 5: Explosive Head, Precision Instrument, Destabilizing Rounds, Sword Logic, Archer’s Gambit, Demoralize, and Eye of the Storm.
PvE God Roll(s):
- Column 4: Dragonfly, Repulsor Brace, Archer’s Tempo, and Successful Warm-Up.
- Column 5: Explosive Head, Precision Instrument, Destabilizing Rounds, Archer’s Gambit.
PvP God Roll:
- Column 4: Archer’s Tempo and Successful Warm-Up
- Column 5: Explosive Head, Precision Instrument, and Archer’s Gambit.
