There will be a Pokémon LEGO set in 2026. The collaboration with the popular video game franchise has been confirmed for next year after a short teaser showed a Pikachu tail made out of LEGO bricks. Naturally, that is very exciting. There are off-brand sets with popular creatures, but this is the first official crossover between the two iconic brand. What is maybe a little less exciting is the rumored price tag that leaked recently.
New Pokémon LEGO Crossover Could Cost a Ton

The good news is there’s going to be a few of the LEGO sets coming in 2026. According to LEGO Leak on Reddit, there will be three different sets as part of this official crossover. The crossover was officially announced back in March, with a blurb from the announcement reading, “Since the debut of the Pokémon franchise, fans have dreamed of becoming Pokémon Trainers, and now they can take that experience even further… one brick at a time. This new partnership will bring the world of Pokémon to life in entirely new ways, allowing fans to build beloved Pokémon in LEGO brick form.“
LEGO has worked with Nintendo plenty before, most recently starting up a crossover with The Legend of Zelda‘s Great Deku Tree. A leak suggests that a new Zelda set could be on the way in the near future as well. Also, a leak regarding the Pokémon line has the bad news accompanying the good news of a crossover: it’s going to be terribly expensive.
Per the rumor, there will be four sets, all ranging in pieces and price. The first set will have under 600 pieces and go for $60. The second set is over 2,000 pieces, and it will cost prospective builders $200, but that’s far from the worst. Apparently, there’s going to be an unfathomable set with 6,838 pieces available for $650. The LEGO Art World Map is the biggest set ever with 11,000 pieces, but this rumored Pokémon set is massive.
It’s hard to predict what that might be. Pokémon are 3D creatures, which makes them harder to turn into LEGOs. They could be put on a stand like the Shadow the Hedgehog or this Bowser set, but Pokémon have weird, intricate designs that might be challenging. A scene from the games or anime might make sense with small, Pokémon minifigures, but it’s impossible to guess what might require almost 7,000 pieces.
Perhaps a large Pokémon, like Charizard, Mewtwo, or Feraligatr, could use that many pieces, but that would become incredibly tedious to build and still probably isn’t big enough to justify that rumored piece total or price tag. The leak suggests that the three sets will go up for order in March, so we won’t have to wait long to find out if these are real and what could possibly need all those pieces.
Keep in mind that this is a leak. We know for sure, from official sources, that there will be a crossover, but we cannot confirm that there are three sets or that one will cost over $600 and have nearly 7,000 pieces in it. Those will remain speculative pieces of information until further notice from Nintendo, Pokémon, or LEGO.
Final Piece
LEGO sets are still incredibly popular, and the fact that they can branch out into these other areas of pop culture is a big win. The prominent Nintendo game franchise has plenty of merchandise or collectibles outside of the games and TV show/movies, and now it’s officially crossing over with the popular brick-building brand. It just remains to be seen what exactly that entails, but it’s exciting nonetheless.
