Kathmandu, Nepal

History tends to repeat itself when it comes to revolutions, and it can be hard to keep up with it all. Luckily, as presidents change, regimes end, and social movements create new norms, we can look to the stars to guide us about historical change, as many have for centuries. The stars remind us that change is not random. It follows a pattern larger than any single generation or government.

By looking at the sky, people find a map. The stars place human conflict within a much broader timeline, suggesting that moments of chaos are often signs of renewal. In this way, astrology becomes more about timing and less about understanding fate. Let’s do a deep dive into a recent revolution and how it aligned with the stars.

2025 Nepal Revolution

We have to start with this incredible movement. In September 2025, massive anti-corruption protests and demonstrations in Nepal were organized by Generation Z students and young citizens. Earning the name “The Gen Z protests.” They began after a nationwide ban on numerous social media platforms, including YouTube, Facebook, and WhatsApp. Public frustration with corruption and the display of wealth by government officials also drove them. Incredibly, Discord was used to organize these protests, and more than 100,000 citizens used the platform to select a nominee for interim leader!

The timeline of the Gen Z protest in Nepal is around September 8-11, 2025, from start to finish. During this time, Neptune entered Aries in March 2025 and began to retrograde in Aries starting in July 2025 and ending in December 2025 (only to start again at the end of this month). Uranus was also in retrograde in Gemini starting in September 2025 and ending in November 2025.

An Astrological Map of the Gen Z Protest in Nepal

Neptune, being in Aries, was extremely significant because it was the first time the planet had entered the fire sign in around 150 years. The planet Neptune rules mirrors, dreams, mysticism, altered states of consciousness, as well as illusions, escapism, addiction, and spiritual bypass. Whereas Aries, the first fire sign of the zodiac (and a powerful Greek god), is all about assertiveness, action, war, anger, boldness, and determination.

When planets retrograde in astrology, think of it as the Planet exposing the other side of itself, and the sign it retrogrades in is what this exposure will look like. Since Neptune is all about illusions and escapism, when it retrogrades, it seeks the truth. And in Aries, it challenges what is taught to be the truth. It seeks new ideas and breaks from old systems that don’t work in the present day times. Neptune in retrograde in Aries encourages justice and freedom by any means necessary. The last time Neptune entered Aries was during the start of the American Civil War.

Uranus is the planet of rebellion, groundbreaking change, and can be referred to as the “Great Questioner.” What used to be considered the norm is being revised. Gemini is the planet of communication and technology. Together (in retrograde), they’re quick to find the blind spots in society and call them out in a way never seen before (like using Discord to organize a revolution, perhaps).

The Year of Revolution

The youth of Nepal is a perfect example of how people are more aligned with the stars than we think. They didn’t rely solely on traditional forms of protest or political participation. Instead, they combined digital savvy with physical action, exposing corruption, organizing movements, and demanding accountability on their time. Their resistance wasn’t impulsive; it was astrologically guided.

Any old system, built on complacency and silence, will struggle to survive during astrological transits that will support the people using technology, audacity, and courage to usher in the change they want to see in the world. Gen Z didn’t choose this moment in 2025, but they were uniquely equipped for it.
