The NFC Championship game is set. The Los Angeles Rams defeated the Chicago Bears 20-17 in overtime to advance. These playoffs have been among the most exciting in recent memory. It’s a terrible loss for Chicago and a fantastic win for LA. Let’s dive into the game!
Rams Escape 20-17

LA’s offense struggled in a game where there was a possibility they could score 40+. MVP candidate Matthew Stafford was great when his team needed him. After Kam Curl intercepted Caleb Williams in overtime, Stafford would connect with Davante Adams and Puka Nacua for 28 of the team’s 44 yards to set up Harrison Mavis’ 42-yard game-winning field goal.
What’s Next for Both Teams?
For LA, they are heading to Seattle to take on the Seahawks for a third time this season with a chance to represent the NFC in Super Bowl 60. As for the Bears, this is a devastating loss. Williams had one of the best plays in Playoff history to force overtime. Then, Chicago forced a 3-and-out and only needed a field goal to punch their ticket to Seattle. The Bears would work their way to the 48-yard line, and then the Curl interception would take place.
Final Thoughts
Without a dog in the fight, I would have loved to see Chicago keep their storybook season going. However, seeing Rams/Seahawks round three will be a ‘get your popcorn ready’ game. We saw how close the first two games were. Who represents the NFC in Super Bowl 60, and do you think the Bears are contenders moving forward?
