Back like they never left. The New England Patriots are heading back to the Super Bowl! The Pats are heading to Super Bowl 60 after defeating the Denver Broncos 10-7 on the road. Despite falling into a hole early, this young team showed they have the grit and talent to make the big game. Let’s dive into the AFC Championship game!

Patriots Book Tickets to Santa Clara

This game was a slugfest. The Broncos’ defense was suffocating early, and Jarett Stidham looked great as they jumped out to a 7-0 lead. After the Pats would force a fumble and capitalize with a Drake Maye rushing touchdown, the AFC Championship would be tied 7-7 at halftime. The second half would bleed red, white, and blue.

They dominated the second half as the weather turned cold and the snow began to pour. From blocking the game-tying field goal with 4:46 left in the game to Christian Gonzalez‘s late interception, they flipped the switch. Maye would pick up the game-sealing 1st down with his legs to ice the Patriots’ 12th AFC title.

Final Thoughts

This game was amazing. For someone who loves defense, both teams stood on their heads for the entire game. You do have to wonder, though, how the Broncos would have looked if Bo Nix had been healthy.
