Saturday is the Royal Rumble, which begins the road to WrestleMania. Throughout the years, the WWE Universe watched surprise entrants in the 30-man match. When that countdown ends, who knows what will come from behind the curtain? We have seen the debut of the Phenomenal AJ Styles, celebrities like Drew Carey, and even a streamer, IShowSpeed.
Logically, everyone has a chance at winning the match, but who would you like to see enter? Which unexpected superstar would you like to hear that pop for when the buzzer hits and so does their entrance music? Here are a few we would love to see.
5 Superstars That Would Shock the Rumble
Y2J
Of course, we will start the list with Chris Jericho! Y2J is rumored to make his WWE return soon. The Internet wrestling community believes that he is a lock for a surprise appearance. It’s been almost 8 years since Jericho embraced the WWE Universe.
Jericho should get a huge pop in his return if it happens Saturday. Obviously, he won’t win, but the fans will welcome him back home. He will be the most predictable of the five, but hey, at least he made the list!
Mr. Iguana
With the ongoing relationship with AAA, it’s the perfect time to have a fan-favorite representative. Mr. Iguana will capture the attention of any wrestling fan. If you are unaware of his work, you will be entertained by his performance.
I haven’t seen much of his work, but what I did see was great. I feel like he may be a rip-off of Igauna Don, but I will let it slide. We can expect some TNA or AAA crossover in the Rumble, and I am hoping it’s the Iguana!
Disco Inferno
You heard me right! I am not sure there is another guy who wrestled for WCW and never wrestled in the WWE who would get a bigger pop than Disco! Imagine the next competitor in the Royal Rumble is Disco Inferno! I think Dusty Rhodes would be looking down, laughing his a** off.
I know it’s far-fetched and very unlikely to see, but Disco is only 59 years old. Let’s get him in the Rumble and honor a great WCW Television Champion and NWO member! The whole arena will be dancing, unless Saudi doesn’t have Disco Fever!
Elijah
What does WWE stand for? Walks with Elijah! Bring Elias, I mean Elijah, back for one more song. He was a crowd favorite during his run with WWE and probably never got the push he deserved. He would get a huge pop, especially with a top-charting hit to start the match. Number one with the spotlight on Elijah.
With the partnership with TNA, just like Mr. Iguana and AAA, we expect there to be a superstar or two from the promotion. Will it be Elijah or Mr. Iguana? I’m not sure, but you can probably bet there will be some kind of representation in the Rumble.
Will Friedle
Look, hear me out! Danielle Fishel is a huge wrestling fan who has brought Will to become a fan. The Boy Meets World connection to wrestling is real, featuring legends Vader as Frankie “The Enforcer’s” dad and Mankind. They have attended a few shows in the past, even though Will doesn’t get recognized because it’s all about Topanga!
Ok, maybe not Will Friedle, but give us a good celebrity run-in! Last year, we got IShowSpeed, but this year, let’s get more of the Drew Carey type. Someone who has no business being in the ring and has Brock Lesnar scare the living bejesus out of them! Now that’s what the Rumble needs!
