The Memphis Grizzlies are trading former Defensive Player of the Year Jaren Jackson Jr. to the Utah Jazz. This is a massive swing for the Jazz. The core of the team now consists of JJJ, Lauri Markkanen, Keyonte George, and Walker Kessler. That is an abundance of talent. How it will fit on the court, I am not too sure, but you can’t argue the accumulation of good-to-great players on the roster. Here are the full trade details:

This almost assuredly means that a Ja Morant trade is imminent, right? For the Grizzlies, it’s the beginning of a full-fledged rebuild. They need to trade their other star and begin the bottom-out process. As for the Jazz, I like this trade. They are slowly putting together one of the best young cores in the entire NBA. Adding a DPOY caliber player to your roster is always a plus. It’s too late to save their season, but next year will be interesting.
