It all comes down to this game, this moment. The Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots are clashing in a rematch of Super Bowl 49. We saw an amazing 2025 regular season, and the playoffs have been just as electric.
Keys for a Seahawks’ Victory

The keys to a Seattle Seahawks win are very simple. Use the K.I.S.S. method, Keep It Simple Stupid. The game plan should be to keep Sam Darnold clean and keep him in a hamster wheel, per se. They have the only elite weapon in Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Let him be the one to alleviate a player who has had an up-and-down career. Now Darnold is coming off the best game of his life against the Los Angeles Rams. The offense is clicking, and they need to keep him clean and not force him out of his comfort zone.
Defensively, there hasn’t been a young quarterback to have great success against Mike McDonald’s defense. The Patriots’ weakness is their offensive line. Rookie left tackle Will Campbell has had a horrendous playoff run. It seems like every time Maye ends up on the ground, it’s from his blindside. They must contain the second-year quarterback and keep him in the pocket so as not utilize his athleticism, which has been his biggest weapon this postseason.
Pathway to Another Dynasty

Here is where it gets dicey. The Patriots have a narrow path to victory, from an offensive standpoint. Their young superstar QB must have a B+ to an A- game, minimum. Drake Maye’s play cannot resemble how bad he has been throughout the postseason. He has been objectively bad. Has he had flashes of his regular-season peak? Absolutely, but he must tap into the MVP-worthy season he had in the first 18 weeks of the NFL season if they are going to get past the Seahawks. He can not play badly.
On defense, it is very simple. Do not let Sam Darnold go nuclear like he did last week. The Patriots’ defense has been lights out this postseason. Has some of it been due to the lack of quarterback talent they have faced? Yes, that has been a part of it.
However, they still forced good players like Justin Herbert and CJ Stroud into their worst games of the season. Dominate the line of scrimmage and get Darnold off his spots. Seattle’s offense has been flying high all season long. Milton Williams, Christian Barmore, and K’Lavon Chaisson must get to Darnold early and often.
Prediction
After pondering it for the past two weeks, I have seen all the pundits and analysts riding with the Seahawks. It gives a funky feeling when it seems like the public is on one side. With that being said, I am picking Seattle to defeat the Patriots in Super Bowl 60. I believe the more complete team is the Seahawks, and it will show tonight. Campbell and Maye will continue to struggle as the Legion of Boom 2.0 flexes their muscles and hoists their second Championship in franchise history!
Final Thoughts
Gosh, how the time has flown by. It seems like it was only yesterday that the Philadelphia Eagles were hosting the Dallas Cowboys to kick off the season. Who do you think wins Super Bowl 60, and what does it mean for both franchises?
