For the first time since 2015, the Seattle Seahawks are headed back to the Super Bowl. They defeated the Los Angeles Rams 31-27 to book their trip to Santa Clara. Seattle will face the New England Patriots. However, let’s dive into the NFC Championship and how they pulled out the win!
Seahawks’ Fly High
Seattle is heading back to the Super Bowl with a 31-27 win over the Los Angeles Rams. Sam Darnold was excellent. He rose to the occasion and soared with 246 passing yards and three touchdowns. When you go against a quarterback of Matthew Stafford’s caliber, you must be almost as perfect as he can be. Not only was he great, but he also outplayed the MVP candidate.
The Rams would go for it on 4th & 4 from the six-yard line, and the pass to Terrance Ferguson would fall incomplete. That might have been the Rams’ last best opportunity, but this is about what the Seahawks did. Every chance they needed to make a big play, Jaxon Smith-Njigba was making plays. He finished with 10 catches for 153 yards and a touchdown. Playmakers showed up and showed out.
Final Thoughts
This was an excellent way to end Conference Championship Sunday. With the Super Bowl matchup set between the Seahawks and the Patriots, this should be an exciting rematch. The last time Seattle was in the big game, it was against the Pats, and we all know what happened. Who do you think wins Super Bowl 60?
