It appears the Ravens are adding a pass-rusher after all. Just four days ago, they traded for superstar defensive end Maxx Crosby from the Las Vegas Raiders. With the deal falling through last night, they turn their attention to another star that’s familiar with the AFC North. Let’s dive into their newest pass rusher!
Ravens Trade for Hendrickson

The Baltimore Ravens have agreed to a four-year, $112 million contract with former AFC Rival, Trey Hendrickson. With his contract being up in Cincinnati, why not stay in the division and join a better team? He fills a huge void that the team lacked last season. Baltimore has lacked a dominant pass rusher since Terrell Suggs. Hendrickson tallied 17.5 sacks in 2023 & 2024. He had four bags last season, despite only playing in four games.
Is It a Good Signing?
Objectively, this is a great signing. Everything worked out, including the trade falling through. Is Hendrickson as good as Maxx Crosby? No, but they keep the 14th pick in the NFL Draft they were sending to Vegas in the trade. In terms of the contract, paying a great pass rusher $28M per year is somewhat of a deal as well. As previously mentioned, he had 17.5 sacks in back-to-back seasons. There aren’t many players with that level of talent.
Final Thoughts
As a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, I would rather see the Ravens give up their next two first-round picks, haha. I saw enough of Hendrickson to know how much of a monster he is, and so has Baltimore. What did you think of the Ravens pivoting to Trey when they backed out of the Crosby trade? Did they make the right decision?
