It’s April Fool’s Day, and brands everywhere are looking for hilarious ways to mess with their customer base, including Raising Cane’s, which tapped Hollywood star Mckenna Grace this time. For the ironic holiday, they dared to answer the question, “What if Cane’s Sauce was drinkable?”
Raising Cane’s Gets Mckenna Grace in on Hilarious April Fool’s Joke

That question is one that anybody who has tasted Cane’s Sauce has asked. If it wasn’t so good on the chicken, toast, and fries, plenty would probably consider getting a straw and drinking one of the best signature fast food sauces out there. If you haven’t had it at one of the over 1,000 locations across the United States, you may want to remedy that as soon as possible.
For April Fool’s Day, Mckenna Grace got to try a clever crossover between Raising Cane’s and Coke, delivering “the unmistakable taste Caniacs know and love” and “the crisp, classic profile of Coca-Cola.” While it’s not actually available for purchase (sadly), it did spark a ton of interest online.
Grace drank the crossover sauce/drink out of a straw, joking that the infamously thick sauce wasn’t easy to consume that way. When she opened up the classic Box Combo, the Scream 7 actress joked about needing something to wash it down with. She dropped out of view and pulled out an entire two-liter Coke bottle of Cane’s Sauce, which held much more than the bottle she was originally sipping from.
Raising Cane’s posted it in conjunction with the actress who has 4.4 million followers, and it had over 27,000 likes and 240 comments at the time of writing. It’s safe to say the joke product was a huge success. Behind it all, as usual, was CEO and co-founder Todd Graves, who shared a statement about getting to work with the Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping star.
“I’m excited to partner with Mckenna to unveil our ‘Cane’s Sauce Coke’ as an April Fools’ prank to have some fun. Mckenna attended Super Bowl LX with us in the Cane’s suite,” Graves said. “I’ve always been impressed with everything she’s accomplished at such a young age, so when it came time to launch ‘Cane’s Sauce Coke’ I knew she would be the perfect fit.”
He continued, “Mckenna’s spunky energy and humor played well for April Fools’ Day and she did a great job leaning into the fun nature of the imaginary product. Last year, we partnered with Cardi B to launch our viral ‘Moisturizing Sauce’ and I’m excited to continue the tradition of an unexpected prank with Mckenna this year.”
After seeing all of this, one might be tempted to go out to their nearest location and purchase a bottle of the Cane’s Sauce Coke. If nothing else, it would be a great way to stock up on the sauce for all your eating needs at home, be it the classic chicken fingers or something else that would benefit from the tangy sauce.
However, as mentioned, it’s just an April Fool’s prank. You won’t have any success rolling up to the drive-thru and asking for the two-liter of sauce. Still, you can head out to a Raising Cane’s and get some Cane’s Sauce with your meal and enjoy it the traditional way. For now, that remains the only way you can get your fix.
Conclusion
It’s April Fool’s Day, which means most things can’t be taken quite seriously today. That includes Raising Cane’s and Mckenna Grace’s hilarious announcement that Coke and Cane’s Sauce are becoming one. Still, it was a fun joke to remind everyone that Cane’s Sauce is incredible, and that it just might be drinkable.
