Pokémon Legends: Z-A, which is the next official title in the franchise, is not even out yet. It will officially hit shelves on October 16, so it’s coming out soon. But ahead of that release, the next mainline generation, Gen 10, has been leaked. Z-A is not a mainline generation game, much like Legends: Arceus, so this leaked game will be the follow-up to 2022’s Scarlet and Violet. Here’s what we can expect based on the leaks.
Leaked Pokémon Game Revealed
According to a pretty renowned game leaker, the next title in this franchise is Pokémon Wind and Waves. The theme will be “infinity,” though it’s currently unclear what exactly that means. Shigeru Ohmori is going to be the director. He’s been designing games in this Nintendo series since 2002 with Ruby and Sapphire. He is responsible for Legends: Arceus and Scarlet and Violet.
Earlier information had pointed to a Greece-like location for the venue, but new data mining has suggested that it will be set in Indonesia/East Asia. It will, of course, be its own unique region, but Paldea was similar to Spain, so whatever the name of the region is, it will reportedly be similar to East Asia.
There are two new Legendary Pokémon every single generation, and this is no different. According to Insider Gaming, the leak suggests that they’ll be called Package Storm and Package Wave. Package Storm is like an old man who uses the power of the wind to guide humans and creatures. It is secluded on an island and only welcomes people who have correctly raised seed Pokémon. Package Wave is like an old woman who possesses the power of waves to also properly guide everyone.
Speaking of seeds, this is a new system in the game. A baby Pokémon of the Seed species can be found in resort areas, and it is an unevolved rare Pokémon. It evolves once it travels to the island where the Legendary lives, thus marking a pretty unique evolution requirement.
It also appears that most Pokémon can be ridden in this game. The game is reportedly also going to introduce, fittingly, weather moves for battling. The setting, per the leak, is a big tourist city in Asia rather than a small town like most regions. The base is a hotel lobby that may also function as a large MMO lobby, where players can see and interact with other players and access quest boards. This is a leak from early in development, so it might’ve been scrapped.

The leak also indicated that the budget for this rumored title was much more than the budget for Legends: Z-A. This makes sense since Z-A is a spinoff title of sorts, or not a mainline game, and this next one will be a mainline generation.
Final Evolution
It is important to remember that this is all a leak. None of it is confirmed. In fact, while we are very probably going to get a 10th and many more generations of Pokémon games, this one hasn’t been officially announced. We won’t know whether or not any of this is legitimate for a very long time, but it is undeniably beginning to look like a fantastic entry in the franchise (if it is one at all).
