With the Miami Dolphins releasing Tyreek Hill, one of the NFL’s greatest deep threats is now a free agent. Hill is coming off a major injury. He suffered a torn ACL, a dislocated knee, and multiple torn ligaments in his right knee. With the Dolphins releasing him yesterday, we can assume multiple teams will be interested in the 8-time Pro Bowler. Let’s dive into the three teams that I believe would suit Tyreek the best!
Tyreek To The Big Apple

How do you maximize a young quarterback’s potential? You surround him with talent. Can you imagine Malik Nabers on one side and Cheetah on the other? That automatically puts those two amongst the top pairs of wideouts in the NFL. With John Harbaugh taking the head coaching position, adding Tyreek to an offense that is looking to complement a defense that has the talent to compete for the division now.
If Hill can return and still have plenty in the tank, he will be a great fit as a quarterback who will benefit from his down the field presense. I am a believer in Jaxson Dart. I believe he has the talent to utilize all of their weapons. If he can stay healthy, the New York Giants and Harbaugh have a strong chance to upset the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC East.
Herbert Finally Gets His Deep Threat

For a player that hasn’t had a number one receiver throughout his whole career, can you imagine what Hill and Justin Herbert would be? Quentin Johnston hasn’t lived up to the draft stock that the Los Angeles Chargers hoped he would fill when they selected him with the 21st pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Think about who the Chargers just hired as their OC, former Dolphins’ Head Coach Mike McDaniel. We saw Tyreek have some of his best seasons under McDaniel. Lastly, going from a quarterback like Tua Tagovailoa to Herbert will be as close to returning to the Chiefs without heading home.
Hill’s Old Stomping Grounds

Speaking of going home, Tyreek Hill returning to Kansas City would be great for Chiefs Kingdom and the organization. It’s not as if he would be stepping into a new team or organization. He was on the team that won the Super Bowl back in 2019 and made the big game back in 2020. Tyreek was traded to the Dolphins in 2022 due to contract negotiations.
With this probably being Travis Kelce’s last season, this might be the last chance to get the band back together. Patrick Mahomes needs consistent help from his receivers. Over the past two seasons, the Chiefs have been near the top of the league in drops. Think about this as well: with Xavier Worthy having a subpar sophomore season, Hill is the perfect teacher for someone with his game-breaking speed.
Final Thoughts
All 31 other teams should reach out to gauge Hill’s interest in joining their franchises. With him turning 32 and coming off a major injury, I wonder who takes a swing on Cheetah in an attempt to make the Super Bowl next season. I believe the Buffalo Bills are another team that can make a strong run at the 5-time all pro. Who do you think will sign one of the NFL’s most dangerous deep threats of all time?
