Xbox is just the latest to have a summer stream dedicated to the reveals of what’s to come, with the Xbox Showcase joining Summer Game Fest and PlayStation State of Play. In all three instances, gamers were treated to a ton of exciting announcements, and the future of gaming looks incredibly bright. Personally, the State of Play looks the most exciting, with God of War Laufey and Wolverine leading the show.
However, there’s one thing that Xbox has that sets its lineup of stacked reveals apart from even the biggest PlayStation and Summer Game Fest announcements. A few of the most exciting ones are going to be available right away on Game Pass.
Xbox Game Pass Just Got Even Better

Fable. Gears of War: E-Day. Halo: Campaign Evolved. Minecraft Dungeons II. Spyro: A Realm Beyond. Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember. State of Decay 3. Resonance: A Plague Tale. Senua. Clockwork Revolution. Persona 4 Revival. Persona 6. Valor Mortis. Bad Magpie. Vivarum. Join Us. Magicians: The Devil’s Deal. What do all these have in common?
First and foremost, they’re among the most exciting reveals from the Xbox Showcase. We knew about Fable and Gears of War: E-Day, among others, but we got official, locked-in release dates (which is key for a game like Fable, which has been delayed twice) and more information on those titles.
The reveal of a new Spyro title is monumental. A new Halo remake is also substantial. The Persona 4 Revival and Persona 6 announcements sent JRPG fans into a frenzy. Minecraft Dungeons II is flying under the radar, but that’s just the fourth mainline Minecraft game ever.
What else do they have in common? They’re all going to Game Pass on launch day. That is a huge win for subscribers and gamers in general. Instead of paying $70 for Fable when it comes out in February, gamers can subscribe for $23 a month and get access to it and others. Most of these games will be $70, so it’s unbelievably valuable to have Game Pass.
This is part of a growing trend under new Xbox leadership. Asha Sharma took over as CEO and totally revamped the platform, and it’s gotten better with every change. The first and most important was making Game Pass cheaper and more accessible, especially after the recent price hike that sent many scurrying to cancel their subscription.
The trade-off was not having Call of Duty titles on the service on day one. That’s not going to extend to other big titles for the platform, though. Obviously, Fable, Spyro, Gears of War, and some of the others above are big money-makers, but they’ll be available immediately for “free” with your subscription.
There are already fantastic games on Game Pass, including:
- Fallout 4
- Final Fantasy VI
- Forza Horizon 6
- Subnautica 2
- Mixtape
- Hades II
- NHL 26
- Dead By Daylight
- Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
- The Outer Worlds 2
- Hollow Knight: Silksong
- Balatro
- Skyrim
- Resident Evil 2
- It Takes Two
This is far from a comprehensive list, but you can begin to see that the subscription is an absolute game-changer, especially now that it’s not overpriced for gamers. That’s only going to continue to be the case as these prominent titles get added on their first days in the future.
Conclusion
Xbox Showcase was extremely exciting. Several of the confirmed, shown off, or revealed games are going to be heavy hitters. Spyro: A Realm Beyond, Persona 6, Halo: Campaign Evolved, and Gears of War: E-Day are super exciting to many. To top it all off, they’re all, along with others, going to Game Pass on day one, making them among the most accessible blockbusters out there.
