Did you catch the recent major update for Gamble With Your Friends? July has come and gone, and as the end of last month crept up, so did some changes for the game. While the game has only been out for a few months, the developers and publishers have made it clear that they are working on keeping this little game the attention its fans want it to have.
As someone who has already spent a good chunk of time playing the game, I appreciate seeing that the devs continue to build and update it. It is already an entertaining little gem, but as with any game, updates are critical for the function and overall lifespan. Gamble With Your Friends has had a few minor updates already, but this one is more than just a little bug fix.
What’s Update Version 1.0.30 All About?
This patch introduces a long list of quality-of-life improvements, customization options, and a new game mode. With this update comes a list of many things, from customizable (“tweakable”) game settings to newly added localization for 13 languages and more. Many are already trying out the new tweaks for changing gameplay for save slots. Some of the new ways to alter your gameplay include enabling/disabling the casino timer, how much money you start with, and how many tickets you start with.
For those interested in the tweakable game save rules that this update brought about, you would select your cogwheel (settings wheel) when hovering over an empty slot. It is important to remember that once you create a save file, you can’t change your new customizations for that particular run of the game. On top of being able to enable or disable the casino timer, you can also change its length as well if you choose to keep it enabled.
Tweaking things is big with this update, because you can now also check out the “Developer Console” in settings. This allows you to spawn things, enable all floors, teleport, and more. There is also the play mode, “Endless Mode”. It is exactly what it sounds like, point-blank. Non-stop, unlimited gambling. Forever spin the wheel, hit the slots until you break them or your bank, or put it all on Yarl every time. He is the best duck, right?
Is Your Wardrobe Lacking?
Finally, there are more cosmetics, and some previous ones got a refresh. Whether you are looking to sport a new outfit, hairstyle, or stick with the classic screwdriver in your eyeball, have at it. Or, you can just hit the casino naked too, if that’s your vibe. You might just have a set outfit you never change, but enjoy collecting new cosmetic items, just for completion purposes.
If you happen to be a big baller, money dress/suit or not, the game now supports massive amounts of money values thanks to the update. The funds cap is no longer set to 5Qi, so how much can you amass now? Put it all on Yarl, or on everyone’s least favorite penguin. Speaking of that penguin, the update also brought a fix to his animation. Various bugs have also been fixed, and a full list can be found here.
Casino Fueled Chaos
Whether you are playing by yourself or bashing your friends with a baseball bat for hitting the blackjack table one too many times, this update just increases the chaos. In a good way, of course. If you have not tried out Gamble With Your Friends, this update makes for perfect timing for you to jump in. Don’t just get your feet wet, though; dive in. Go big, or go home, they say.
With the game only being out for just barely over three months, it is exciting to see the devs working to update the game for the growing community. There is already a small mountain of improvements, and now a new game mode? Customization from cosmetics to tweaking in-game rules? I’ll take that as a positive outlook for the game’s overall replayability already.
